Um … yes. Its casing is made from hard-paste porcelain with 5 mm thick walls. No loudspeaker is happy when dropped on the ground, so handle them with great care. If something does go wrong: mo° sound offers comprehensive repair services.

The spherical shape is ideal for a loudspeaker casing because parallel walls, nooks and edges are avoided. A sphere does not have parallel walls, neither outside nor inside. The sound waves inside don’t interfere with each other as much as in rectangular loudspeakers where they are thrown back and forth between the walls. And on the outside sound can spread freely and evenly.
The broadband speaker as point source lets sound form naturally. This means: No inaccurate phase delay the way they occur in multipath speakers. Instead a pleasant, natural and clean sound through and through.

Porcelain, not plastic. Our speaker casings are made from 5mm thick hard-paste porcelain. The material is almost vibration-free, impervious to temperature and scrapes. Porcelain is hard but can be molded in organic forms – including spheres. After glazing the material is harder than glass.

Ball speakers have an acoustic impedance of 8 ohm and can be run with any commercial amplifyer.

It is really easy:

1. Plug the cable into the speaker clips in your stereo amp and connect the other end of the cable to the ball speaker with the RCA connector
2. Please use speaker cables by mo° sound.
3. Make sure the polarity is correct. If you mix up plus and minus, the sound pattern will be diffuse with very little bass.
4. Important: Plug in the cables without twisting or turning the connectors.

Ball Speakers Classic White and Black can be installed outdoors and even in the bathroom. The casing is a seamless body and the membranes and screws of these models are spray water resistant.

No. First of all: there are no wireless loudspeakers. Every speaker needs at least a power cable.

Secondly, mo° sound has decided to focus on speakers with beautiful and high-quality cables. Tethered transmission is of higher quality and it is more stable.

We always follow our principle of keeping electronics to a minimum. Electronics influences the sound quality and is error-prone.

It is important to set up your ball speakers correctly to really enjoy their amazing sound quality.

Place the porcelain tripod on an even surface or fix the wall mount where it suits you. This way your ball speakers are safely in place. The supplied holders of your choice (tripod or wall mount) decouple any vibration and let you angle your ball speakers in your preferred direction.

The position of the two speakers and the place where you are listening should ideally form an iosceles triangle. For optimal sound, position the ball speakers at eye and/or ear level. Make sure the speakers face you.

The speaker cables are not included when you purchase your ball speakers. Our recommendations are: Cable Classic for our Classic series, Cable Superior for our Superior series. But this is not mandatory. In principle, all mo° sound cables are compatible with all mo° sound Ball Speakers.

Clean the ceramic surface of the ball speakers with a soft cloth and some glass cleaner.If you want to remove dust from the speaker chassis, use a soft paintbrush.

Please avoid touching the membranes with your fingers.

Please handle your ball speakers with great care to avoid damage during unpacking. Make sure that the contents of your delivery are complete and matches your order. And check the items for transport damage, too. Since the speakers are delivered without protective grids please avoid touching the membranes with your fingers after removing the safety lids.
